Heather Walker & Chelsea Early of
Meet Heather Walker & Chelsea Early, the dynamic sister duo behind many dancer's favorite & most trusted line, Luckyleo Dancewear. Based in Denver, Colorado, Luckleo was founded on the belief that dancers deserve dancerwear that is unique & beautifully designed to reflect each dancers own individual style & personality.
Heather & Chelsea know first hand the demands of the dance world, having trained at top ballet schools such as, The School of Ballet Arizona, The School of American Ballet, and Pacific Northwest Ballet, to both becoming professional dancers for Ballet Arizona. From personal experience, they understand that what a dancer wears for class & rehearsal directly affects their confidence & ability to perform well throughout the day. Thus, at Luckyleo Dancewear, they make it a priority to provide leotards & skirts that have the innate ability to brighten any dancer's day the second they put it on.
What I admire about this incredible family run business is their transparency. They do an amazing job at showing you how their product is made & what exactly is going on behind the scenes, both in professional & personal ways! Through their website you are brought in to see the process of how each leotard is made by hand, (Check It Out Here!). Through their blog, they reveal their newest updates, from new prints they have designed, acquiring a new workshop space, & the latest behind their promotional material.
But it's through their Instagram, that they uniquely shine. Not only do they frequently post their beautiful designs & professional photographs taken by Chelsea & Heather themselves, but they avidly re-post their customers. On Instagram, they have created a personal community. Dancer's around the world will eagerly post a picture of themselves in their new luckyleo dancewear & Luckyleo shares their joy by responding in likes & features of these dancers on the company’s own instagram page. Also, Chelsea & Heather often go LIVE to show new prints for their Custom Leotards & which leotards are ready to go in Express, as well as host giveaways and Q&A sessions as they are sewing away.
It's amazing to look back and think that I met Heather when we were in our early teens, training at SAB for the summer. To see where she is now, in a flourishing business with her sister, is so cool to witness. What they stand for and who they have grown their brand to become, is admirable & telling of just how well they will continue to do in the future.
