Hi!

BALLET

thank you for browsing the blog!

Ballerina Baker

The sheer amount of talent & artistry ballet dancer's possess astounds me. Over the years, I have been fortunate to meet & learn of other dancers who not only are passionate about the work they do in the studio & on stage, but on top of that, are pouring out their creativity into other passion projects & business ventures of their own.

With that being said, it is with much excitement that every week throughout the summer I will be featuring an incredible #ballerinaINbusiness on the blog! These women truly inspire me. In times where I questioned if pursuing a project outside of ballet was hindering my focus, I would see these women producing work outside the studio that brought forth joy. Not just by giving them personal joy as they created and labored over their various projects, but that their projects truly gave tangible joy to others, and in turn, only enhanced their life as a dancer.

And now! The first ballerina in business I'd like to introduce you all to is...

Ballerina Baker is based in Salt Lake City, Utah, where Jordan Fry currently lives and dances for Ballet West. All her baked goods, from elaborately, beautiful wedding cakes, to intricately detailed shortbread cookies, and cupcakes of various flavors and designs, are all baked to perfection with local, seasonal ingredients and straight out of her home kitchen.

Her work is absolutely stunning! She gives alert attention to detail in all of her designs. Her cakes are so beautiful, it hurts to put a knife to it. But I'm telling you first hand, they aren't only beautiful, but mouthwatering delicious. Her Banana Butterscotch Bourbon Caramel (gf) Cake is a favorite of mine!
Jordan has avidly been commissioned to create a handful of wedding cakes for the many Ballet West marriages that have been celebrated over the years (including her own!). I had the privilege of meeting Jordan and getting to taste her treats at both my brother in laws weddings!  {Rex Tilton to Allison DeBona in December of 2016, & Ron Tilton to Paige Adams in June of 2017}

So go on ahead! Browse this amazing ballerina's website Ballerina Baker and be sure to follow and support her work over on Instagram @ballerina_baker
