Welcoming the New Year.
I could have never foreseen the beautiful events of 2014. Renove emerged with humble beginnings: working on dressers for friends, bringing my tarp all around town, painting furniture in kitchens, living rooms, and bedrooms, storing pieces on our balcony & at Ray's apartment.. all of that leading up to July when I acquired a dream workspace in Alamo Square right before we left for San Francisco Ballet's tour to Paris. &then coming back to sell at the Treasure Island Flea Market in October. Looking back now all I can think is wow. What a gift.
just a small look back…
Alas, I look back to give thanks at the remembrance of these blessings. They are hard to acknowledge in the heat of the moment & often times overlooked until I take the time to sit still & reflect. The year was full of surprises, surprises that brought laughter & happiness and surprises that brought tears & pain. I learned a great deal & only hope that my character & the integrity behind my work has grown in the process.
'Excited' would be an understatement when I dream of what could happen this next year.. but with a patient & expectant heart I shall watch and wait to see the Creator's plans unfold.
Every Good & Perfect Gift is from above,
There is no shadow of turning with thee.
And might I add, I apologize for the delay! By the end of 2014 I was so wrapped up in 'the Land of the Sweets', snow scenes, and party scenes that there was no time to update.
But now that things have calmed down and the Nutcracker season has drifted away, I look forward to retelling stories & sharing the joys of renove in this space.
